Kenana Knitters are a group of women who make up a knitting co-operative in Kenya. The co-operative supports the income of rural women using their spinning and knitting skills. Fleece is purchased from local farmers and hand-spun using homemade spinning wheels fashioned from wood and bicycle tire rims.
The income generated from the sale of these gorgeous soft toys provides employment with dignity and a chance at a better tomorrow for these women and their children.
