Several months training is required for the women of Wola Nani to learn how to make these colourful bowls. They start on the smaller bowls and as their technique improves are moved onto larger designs. Each bowl is handmade, usually in the woman's home.
The bowls are varnished which makes them good for storing dry goods, but they are not suitable for wet foods or liquids.
