Designer Marisa Fick-Jordaan initiated this Zen Zulu project more than 12 years ago to create a platform for artisans and weavers from KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa to showcase their work. By creating and maintaining this sustainable craft design business it has helped to create hundreds of sustainable micro-enterprise craft businesses. This project trains unemployed women from both urban and rural areas to weave new designs, and now supports more than 350 home-based craft producers in four different communities.
